ADZ is the new contemporary line from highly acclaimed, eco luxury label Ada Zanditon. The line will be launched at Pure Trade Show on Sunday 1st August to Tuesday 3rd August at Olympia in London.
For SS11 the ADZ collection ‘Nebulayan’ debuts with a stunning collection of striking, unique prints. The prints have been created from illustrations from matellite thermal imaging of the Arctic and the Himalayas, placed on a background of photographs of deep space nebulae taken through the Hubble telescope.

Things took an interesting turn in Prada’s finances last week. there were reports of a chinese businessman, who allegedly acquired 13% of prada’s shareholdings over the past two years.
Prada disputed the reports, saying that the family still owns about 95% of the company, while the remaining 5% by italian bank banca intesa San Paolo. Interestingly, prada then announced a day later, that they agreed terms for a new €360m loan from a consortium of banks, in part to service an old loan while also to finance new store openings.

It’s really amazing to see the pure haute couture made by leather and furs. The most people expect silk, lace and crystals when they think about the art of couture,, but the people of “The house of Martin Margiela” can make a different couture.

DUNHILL presented their SPRING/SUMMER 2011 collection rin Paris last sunday. it is challenging for a company with such a rich heritage, to bring in a relatively young designer to shake things up.
I think Kim Jones has always treaded very carefully, and in the words of tim blanks: managing the needs of dunhill and what kim jones wants.

Jean-Paul Gaultier
French fashion designer and past television presenter.
Gaultier never received formal training as a designer. Instead, he started sending sketches to famous couture stylists at an early age. Pierre Cardin was impressed by his talent and hired him as an assistant in 1970.

Junya Watanabe
Born in Tokyo in 1967. He graduated from Bunka Fashion College, Tokyo, in 1984 and immediately joined Comme des Garçons as a pattern cutter and underling of founder-owner of Comme des Garçons, designer Rei Kawakubo.
