French designer jean-paul gaultier today unveiled his spectacular designs for the former abode of jacque carlu, the architect of the palais de chaillot in the 30s. the apartment is situated in front of the eiffel tower, with amazing views over paris. i’m not sure if the apartment will be open for public viewing, i hope it will be.
For the fourth installment of The Early Days, we present the first show of Jun Takahashi’s UNDERCOVER in Paris, held in October 2002. As Jun’s very first time showing in Paris, the event was an exciting and experimental experience for the whole UNDERCOVER team, flying across the world to showcase their efforts on an international level. Paris was a whole new ballgame, far removed from the smaller Tokyo scene, where they had been working since 1995.

Garance Dore has been experimenting more and more with video content on her blog, and there’s a reason, she tells The Huffington Post in a recent interview: “My dream project is to do a movie . . . about girls and life and fashion. But it’s really a dream project. I’m not even at the beginning of it.”
Karl Lagerfeld, who is photographing the 2011 Pirelli calendar, said he envisioned the images set in studio rather than against the usual beach scenery.
