Haute Couture FW10 – Chanel

Chanel went medieval for its fall haute couture collection as models took to the runway in oversize silhouettes, jewel tones and highly adorned garments.

With the order going up the social ladder from peasant chic to medieval princess, the collection certainly had its fair share of wow moments.

The brand’s creative director, Karl Lagerfeld, said the reoccurring theme of the lion was inspired by the house’s late founder, who was born in August under the sign of Leo.
